LINK ICT Skills Training and Certification Program
Turnkey Digital Literacy
Skills and Certification
The LINK AMERICAS™ Foundation has developed the LINK ICT Skills
Training and Certification Program . The program is a 21st
Century model for online digital literacy training and
certification. The training is available globally, and can be
customized for large scale government or industry programs for job
training in ICT green and medical certification.
The program is applicable for the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act (ARRA) training projects. This innovative approach to
online digital literacy training and certification meets global
certification standards, and consistent with the provisions of
the Executive Order on ICT Digital Literacy recently signed by
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
LINK ICT Skills Training and Certification Program skill sets are based
on research and standards of the International Society for Technology
in Education (ISTE), the 21st Century Partnership, a collaboration of
major industry partners, and international testing and assessment
providers such as ETS, Certiport, CSP and ACT.
LINK AMERICAS™ Foundation is now working with the California
Association of Veterans Service Agencies (CAVSA) to implement LINK ICT
Training and Certification Program in a statewide program for
unemployed and returning veterans. The CAVSA program includes the
Certiport Digital Literacy Boot Camp and IC3 Certification.
This training approach for veterans can be replicated in other states.
The LINK approach to ICT digital literacy skills building is unique in
that it provides a turnkey approach to ICT digital literacy skills that
includes a comprehensive online social networking and digital media
support system. This digital literacy training model leverages the
collective expertise of global assessment developers and providers, ICT
content specialists, researchers, and social networking web developers
to deliver turnkey services seamlessly. It incorporates online
courseware, live trainers, peer support technologies, along with self
paced modules in an ICT web environment.
The LINK AMERICAS™ Foundation convenes international planning workshops
and informational summits on behalf of industry and government in the
area of ICT digital literacy training and certification.
Foundation projects include planning, implementation and research in
this area.
