LINK ICT Skills Training and Certification Program

Turnkey Digital Literacy Skills and Certification

The LINK AMERICAS™ Foundation in collaboration with The Knowledge Reserve (TKR) has developed the LINK Digital Literacy Training and Certification Program.  The program is a 21st Century model for online digital literacy training and certification.  The training is available globally, and can be customized for large scale government or industry programs for job training in ICT green and medical certification. 
 
This innovative approach to online digital literacy training and certification meets global certification standards. It incorporates online courseware, live trainers, peer support technologies, along with self paced modules in an ICT web environment.  Our courses meet your workforce training needs for basic digital literacy skills acquisition.

We offer two level of instructions:

Level I:

Basic Training and Certification

16 week course for individuals with little or no computer experience.
Course Objective

The goal of this 16-week course is designed to provide individuals with little to no digital literacy experience, a basic understanding of networking devices, software, and the Internet, necessary to achieve the globally recognized IC3 certification and to communicate effectively in the digital world.

This course is aimed at enhancing individual productivity, marketability, and value in the workforce.  We incorporate auditory, kinesthetic, visual and intellectual learning to address the various learning styles.

The IC3 certification is the ideal certification for anyone wanting to demonstrate critical digital literacy and Internet skills valued in today’s workforce.

Course Overview

This distance learning course incorporates instructor-led training, self-paced learning and other blended learning methods for optimal knowledge transfer.  The training event begins with an assessment of the student’s computer skills to better understand the unique learning needs of the individuals.  A remote instructor offers guidance and remediation through regular training sessions for optimal knowledge transfer.

Upon completion of the course, students are required to locate a Certiport Test Center and take the proctored IC3exams (Living Online, Key Applications & Computing Fundamentals) necessary to obtain IC3 certification.

This course includes:

·         Course Materials

·         One voucher for Internet & Computing Benchmark & Mentor

·         Three, IC3 exam vouchers

·         One IC3 Course Book (includes shipping and handling to a single location)

·         3 hours a week of remote instructor-led training

·         Remote e-mail support from the instructor

In addition, we recommend students conduct 10 hours a week of self-paced learning and exercises.

Prerequisites:

·         Internet and telephone access

·         Access to a local  Certiport testing center to take IC3 exams

·         Dedicate 13 hours a week to learning:

·         10 hours. a week for self-paced learning

·         3 hours a week for instructor-led training

 

 



Level II:


Refresher Course and Certification Preparation

Refresher course for individuals with digital literacy skills who need to prepare for certification

Course Objective

This 3-week course is designed for those individuals already proficient in the basic digital literacy skills.  It is designed as a review and practice experience in order to be better prepare candidates to qualify on the globally recognized IC3 certification.

This training is aimed at enhancing individual productivity, marketability, and value in the workforce.  We incorporate auditory, kinesthetic, visual and intellectual learning to address the various learning styles.

The IC3 certification is the ideal certification for anyone wanting to demonstrate critical computer and Internet skills valued in today’s academic and professional environments.
